Where it all began..

Thee Unconventional Ngāhere is my ambitious dream of blending indoor plants, wairua and mental health awareness all into one!

After the events of cyclone Gabriel, my mental health took a massive hit so! in an effort to bring my love of Te Taio indoors with hopes that in doing so - it would help to alleviate the stresses caused by the wide spread flooding and recovery effort.

Since then, indoor plants have become one of my many passion’s and have amassed over 100 plants in my personal collection!

Ranging from succulents to every pothos you could think of, Syngonium’s of all different variety and everything in between - I have created an incredibly diverse range of plants that have become my safe haven in a world that can often be very difficult to navigate. Spending time with my plants gives me time to reflect on my mental health and can also to help cleanse my wairua!

Since then, I have used my social media platforms of over 100k combined to share my love and appreciation for these stunning plant pepi and in the process? The demand for plants from my personal collection grew! 12 months later and Thee Unconventional Ngāhere was born!

Ngamihi mai tatau for supporting my small pakihi to this point!
